PROJECT: Recycled Plastic Desks

Another great collaboration … this time with mad 4 waves.

In December 2018 four brave young South Africans left our shores prepared to spend 2 months rowing across the Atlantic Ocean in what is considered to be one of the toughest challenges on the planet.

They partnered with Make a Difference Leadership Foundation and one of their goals was to raise money to provide rural needy children with recycled plastic desks.

After breaking records and securing a place in the Guiness Book of Records they set up organizing the desks as promised and Adventures for Love were very kindly gifted 60 desks valued at R90 000 for schools of our choice.

With previous involved in Pikkewyntjies we were thrilled to be able to re-gift the desks to this needy school in Bettys Bay. The children and teachers were absolutely thrilled to have a formal classroom arrangement for these children.

The second school selected was Wellington Blouvlei Academy.
