PROJECT: Die Hoop – Modimole

Modimolle is a place close to the heart of many AFL ladies and on 23 December one of our members arranged Christmas cakes and mince pies for Waterberg Dienssentrum (Ons Hoop).  The celebration was followed by bingo, which was enjoyed by all the residents. The team eventually ran out of prizes and played 3 additional games with a monetary reward.

A local supplier, Vumacam, kindly donated boerewors and the residents were then treated to lunch.  Each person was given a lovely gift consisting of soap, cream, Vaseline, toothbrush, toothpaste, face cloth, deodorant, sweets, chocolates and biscuit. Most of the residents left for a nap after lunch but it was a truly great day with so many smiles and love.
