FUNDRAISER: Dullstroom 1 – 3 July 2022
COLD WEATHER WILL NOT PREVENT AFL FROM SPREADING SOME LOVE
The weekend of 1 – 3 July AFL spent in the lovely town of Dullstroom. Hosted by Dullstroom Country Cottages we were able to spread some warm cheer and raise some money over the weekend.
The Friday afternoon was spent at the Belfast Rusoord. Each resident was given a care pack and we played some bingo with some of the fun-loving ladies. Zest Property Group treated the residents to an amazing afternoon tea with lots of mouth-watering snacks and cupcakes. Thanks to Trish Kennedy and the rest of the staff from Zest who also helped with the packing, distribution of the care packs. A great afternoon of spoils to very thankful residents.
Critchley-Hackle Lodge spoiled the AFL ladies and jumped on-board to aid us in another project at the Belfast Rusoord later in the year. The friends we make along the way enables us to spread love and change lives as we go along.
Thanks to Colleen Van Vuuren we were able to donate a huge number of knitted beanies to the special people at Epilepsy South Africa (the Mpumalanga branch) ensuring that cold heads will no longer be one of the problems they have to deal with.
On Sunday 3 July Dullstroom Country Weddings hosted a SUNDAY FUNDAY event at the Dullstroom Country Cottages in aid of AFL. What an amazing event… The day was marked with good food and drinks and some seriously good music. Kraal Kombuis ensured that every person has something nice to eat. A big thanks to the artists and DJ that donated their remarkable talents for the day all for a good cause. A huge thank you to Pedro Barbosa, Tian Nienaber and the Dullybuggers for ensuring the crowd was entertained.
Without support we will not be able to do what we do. It is tanks to the support of our loyal friends, and the ones we make along the way, that we can give a little and change lives.
Looking forward to our next time in Dullstroom in November…. Look out Dullies because we will be back!
